How to show the extensions of your files in Windows 7

1. Open the control panel
2. Click on Appearance and Personalization
3. Click on Folder Options
4. Once in the Folder options window, uncheck the option: hide extensions for known files.
5. Click on apply and then on OK.
6. Close the control panel window and voila.
You should be able to see the extensions of all your files.
